Glimpse At Their Story:
Grass Root Meats started 23 years ago with two pigs. My wife and I slowly grew the business, when we decided to have kids we moved from Arkansas to here where she is from. Grass Root Meats sells free range no antibiotic and hormone free meat. Not only do we sell our product at a fair price we try to create relationships that will harbor future growth for us and the customer. Our biggest seller is chicken. We do bone in whole and boneless, thighs, wings, drumsticks and more. We want people to afford good local meat and vegetables whether you have no money in the bank or a million dollars. We love local farming and community. We hold 3 events a year at the farm to bring people together. You can tour the farm and there’s a playground in the middle for kids. Our farm has 125 solar panels in 5 spots. I sold my solar company last year but we love small scale sustainable solutions. That’s why we have multiple places here where we are “off grid”
At our farm store. Open 7 days a week 8am to 9pm. Our farm stores lights are all powered by the sun. We have over 130 products in the store. 100% local. And organic! Chips, chocolates, lettuce, ice cream, candles, honey, syrup, noodles the list goes on.
