Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup butter, room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk, room temperature
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Grease a 10″ loaf pan with butter and line with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a mixing bowl, add the 1 1/2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1/4 tsp baking soda. Mix well and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, add 1/3 cup butter and 3/4 cup sugar. Beat until creamy.
- Add vanilla and beat until fully incorporated.
- Add 3/4 cup milk and mix.
- Fold the flour mixture gently into the wet until it looks creamy and shiny.
- Transfer to the loaf pan, gently tapping the pan to remove any air bubbles.
- Bake 40-50 minutes, the top should be golden brown and a tester comes out clean.
- Rest for 5 minutes, invert onto a wire rack and let cook completely.
- Cut into slices and serve with coffee/tea. Store in an airtight container in a fridge for up to a week.
